We’ve called the Beaches home for more than three generations – from the signature stretch of Queen East to the homes lining the side streets, this is where we live, play, and work.

A Look at Local Homes
The side streets of the Beaches are mostly lined with mature trees and are close to transit parks and excellent schools. The architecture varies from street to street from a variety of smaller semi-detached or row homes to large- scale Victorian, Tudor, and contemporary homes. These homes afford plenty of room to grow for families of all kinds.
The Beaches is always changing, and the cottage-like appearance of the some of the homes is transitioning in favour of more modern builds. Some of the streets here actually come with heritage designations, which speaks to the pride of residents who want to retain the charming feel of the area.

Only a few steps in almost any direction, you’ll find several parks and a beautiful ravine system that bisects the area from north to south. The Beach itself, though, is one huge stretch of sandy shoreline all the way to Woodbine Park.
There’s a long boardwalk that locals love strolling on, no matter the season, situated alongside the Martin Goodman Trail for avid cyclists. Although it never seems to stop, there are four distinct beaches: Balmy Beach, Scarboro Beach, Kew Beach, Woodbine Beach and don’t forget the secret beach.
