The Canadian Realtors Care Award is given to those who do outstanding charitable work in the communities where they live and work. Our own Patrick Devine has been nominated by The Providence Healthcare Foundation.
Patrick is a true example of these values. He has been a loyal supporter of Providence Healthcare for many years. His philanthropic work with Providence Healthcare began in 1978 when he was just 13 years old volunteering at the hospital. He remained connected to the Providence community throughout his teen years and into early adulthood. Over the last four years, Patrick has intensified his support and generosity towards Providence Healthcare; making a donation each year as well as the giving of his time and talents.
In 2017, he joined Men Advancing Philanthropy for Providence (MAPP). MAPP donors band together to collectively support the mission of Providence, through a monthly giving program. To date, MAPP has cumulatively raised almost $1,000,000 for Providence to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we care for in our hospital and long-term care home. MAPP is defined by its unique ability to create exceptional experiences for donors. Patrick is a leader and a “friend-raiser” within the community, regularly attending events and encouraging others to join.
In 2017, Patrick joined the Ken & Nancy Shaw Providence Golf Classic Event Committee (PGC). PGC is an important annual fundraiser for Providence. Patrick plays a key role on the committee, helping to ensure guests experience a spectacular day of golf, while also raising important funds for Providence. Patrick has used his business savvy to help Providence innovate in its strategy and approach to events. This year, thanks to donors like Patrick, the 2020 PGC raised an incredible $185,000 in support of the patients and residents of Providence. In addition, DeClute Real Estate, through Patrick, has acted as a sponsor for many of Providence Healthcare’s signature events since 2016. Patrick continues to be the champagne sponsor at the annual Providence Gala.
