For twelve years, we have had the enormous privilege of bringing some holiday magic to our community as we Light Up the Beach. Each year, we have looked forward to wrapping tens of thousands of miniature LED lights around the branches and trunks of the trees lining the Boardwalk and then celebrating with our beloved community as Santa officially turns on the lights at the Light Up the Beach event. We also take great pride that this Beach holiday tradition has supported mental health and addictions at Michael Garron Hospital. Together, Light Up the Beach and the DeClute Team have now donated over $100,000 to the Michael Garron Hospital Foundation.

Light Up the Beach has become a holiday tradition that many families, including our own, have come to love. Although we will not be lighting up the boardwalk this year we encourage you to join us and make a donation to Michael Garron Hospital COVID-19 has shown us that we need to support our wonderful community and Michael Garron Hospital, more than ever.

This holiday season, we will light up the corner of Beech and Queen, instead! We invite you to gather with your friends and family on our patio, surrounded by the magic of the thousands of miniature LED lights wrapped around our Christmas trees and hung on the beautiful historic building in which we work. Bring your coffee or hot chocolate and a snack, linger a while and feel the warmth of the holiday lights as you help us celebrate the spirit of the holidays and show your support for the Michael Garron Hospital.

To say we are going to miss seeing everyone together this year at the annual Light Up the Beach event is an understatement. However, we look forward to sharing good wishes, with you—our beloved community.

Thank you for enjoying our holiday lights with us. It is a true labour of love from us, to you.

Be well and stay safe and have a happy holiday season.
