Toronto’s Beaches Jazz Festival is a beloved annual event that has been entertaining music enthusiasts for 35 years. The festival is returning from July 6th to July 30th, 2023, with an impressive lineup of over 70 new and returning artists representing various genres. With events like Sounds of Leslieville and Riverside, Salsa on the Beach, and 90’s Night, the festival promises a summer filled with exceptional performances and unforgettable experiences.

Sounds of Leslieville and Riverside

The festival kicked off with the Sounds of Leslieville and Riverside, held at Jimmie Simpson Park from July 6th to July 9th. Attendees will be treated to performances by acclaimed artists such as Steinwall, Five Alarm Funk, The Brigham Phillips “Little” Big Band, Stacey Renee, Neon Nostalgic, and many more.

Salsa on the Beach

Salsa on the Beach will be held at Woodbine Park from July 14th to July 16th. This event celebrates the rich diversity of cultures by transforming the park into a vibrant dance floor, featuring the energetic Latin melodies of salsa, merengue, and cumbia. Attendees have the opportunity to learn these captivating dance styles while enjoying delicious food, exploring various vendors, and relaxing in the beer garden.

TD Weekend Line-up

The festival will also pay homage to the 90s with the TD Weekend Line-up, taking place at Woodbine Park from July 20th to July 23rd. Renaissance, Toronto’s longest-running all 90’s party, and Get On Up, Toronto’s favourite strictly 90s R&B and Hip-Hop party, come together for an incredible evening dedicated to the music of the 90s. The event was hosted by Master T, a legendary MuchMusic VJ, ensuring an authentic and nostalgic experience for all attendees.

StreetFest

From July 27th to July 29th, Queen St East between Woodbine and Beech Ave will be transformed into a lively street party for StreetFest. Each night, the street will come alive with diverse bands, food trucks, vendors, and more, creating a dynamic and engaging atmosphere that captures the true essence of the festival.

TD Workshop Series

The TD Workshop Series also added an interactive element to the festival. On July 26th, attendees can enjoy the exhilarating experience of Dueling Pianos at a special evening event. This unique workshop showcased the incredible talent and artistry of pianists, creating a memorable and immersive musical experience for all.
