Making a difference together. We are matching your donations this week, when our healthcare heroes need us most. While this continues to be a difficult time for everyone, all of us at DeClute and Wright Sisters of Union Realty have been inspired by the outpouring of generosity in our community toward each other and our healthcare workers over the past two weeks. We are all so thankful to all of our frontline workers putting themselves at risk every day for our health. As you can appreciate, the COVID-19 crisis is creating unprecedented pressure on our healthcare resources. You may be aware, the government does not fund the full cost of healthcare, and they need our support. Michael Garron Hospital has established a COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund to get the vital equipment and supplies that will help health teams deliver the care our community needs now. Whether through financial gifts, offers of handmade masks, or donations of personal protective equipment, our neighbourhood has overwhelmingly demonstrated compassion for one and other, our community and our healthcare teams on the front lines. In keeping with this, we are making a commitment to match every donation to the Michael Garron Hospital COVID-19 fund this week, up to $15,000.00. Please help us to support our caregivers and motivate them to do what they do best–tirelessly provide outstanding care day after day.

Michael Garron has extended their personal protective equipment (PPE) drive and continues to accept donations of unopened, unexpired PPE and they have asked the East Toronto community to meet the challenge of making 1000 masks a week.
