It is hard to believe how much our world has changed since March 13th. From the time our wonderful city closed the doors to all but the most essential services — we have witnessed so many profound changes. The most impactful to us has been watching our incredible east end community come together to support each other.
Our gratitude goes out to the courageous frontline workers and their families. There are so many in our city who go to work each day and actually risk their health to keep our city going. We cannot thank you enough for your dedication.
Delivering PPE Equipment
Early on, we were provided with the opportunity to use our staging trucks and deliver Personal Protective Equipment to Michael Garron Hospital, a COVID-19 treatment hospital. Our appreciation for our local hospital has grown immensely in the past 8 weeks. How lucky we are — as a community — to have such a remarkable hospital in our own backyard.
Community rallies
Who knew east enders were so talented? When the call went out for 1,000 masks a day, east enders began sewing and many turned it into a fundraiser with support going to local food banks along with the donated masks.
Our very own counselor Brad Bradford cycled for 24 hours and raised over $200,000 for Michael Garron Hospital.
Collaboration and support for local businesses
We have been so inspired to see our local businesses working together in creative and collaborative ways to continue to serve our community and to meet our needs. From pivoting to offer online services and delivery and pick up options, to installing protective shields, and finding unique ways to deliver the services we rely on daily.
Donation match
In April, we offered to match community donations for one week up to $15,000.00 to support Michael Garron hospital. We are so proud to say that our donation was matched in just 3 days and we reached a total of $25,232.11 by April 3, 2020.
Real estate
Did you know that real estate was deemed an essential service? We have adapted to distancing and sanitizing. Safety is our first concern as we continue to work with our clients to meet their real estate needs. The details matter more now than ever. We meticulously work to prepare our listings so they shine virtually and in person. Our design teams work with both virtual and physical staging to give your home the best opportunity to capture a buyer‘s interest. Our interactive 3D tours allow all buyers to view your home without even leaving their living room.
